Upstate Equine Medical Center is at it again! Its stated mission is to provide exemplary care and service as well as provide educational opportunities to both clients and area veterinarians. To this end, Upstate Equine Medical Center has teamed with Nutrena Feeds, and together they are hosting their fourth annual client educational seminar on Equine Nutrition. The seminar will take place on February 15, 2012 and begins at 7:00 pm. It will be held in the conference room at Upstate Equine Medical Center at 362 Rugg Road in Schuylerville. Two speakers will be featured. Guest speaker Dr. Krishona Martinson from the University of Minnesota Extension will be lecturing on "Improving Hay Feeding Efficiency" in an interactive format. Mr. George Peters of Win$um Ranch will also be speaking and the topic to be covered is "Horse Sense": Applying Normal Equine Behavior to Training Techniques. Upstate Equine Medical Center veterinarians will also be in attendance to address any questions. Fabulous door prizes will serve as a further enticement to an evening event which is going to be both educational and of great benefit to area horses and horsemen. Snacks and beverages will be served as human nutritional needs should never be ignored! Last year's event was attended by over 100 participants, and a good time was had by all.
